Dr. Brenda Boatswain (pronounced “Bo-Sun”) is the Montefiore Medical Center’s Wellbeing Manager and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Social Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Boatswain is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified by the International Board for Certification of Group Psychotherapists, a Credentialed Health Service Psychologist, and Society for Human Resource-Certified Professional. Dr. Boatswain graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the College at New Paltz and earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany.
She is the owner of Godsend Psychological Services PLLC. Founder and facilitator of the Westchester Mental Health Peer Group, a peer consultation group for mental health clinicians of color in Westchester County, and Co-Chair of the American Group Psychotherapy Association annual conference.
